Katherine Taylor has won a Pushcart Prize and the McGinnis-Ritchie Award in fiction.

She earned an MFA at Columbia University, where she was a Graduate Writing Fellow.

Recent short stories have appeared in Ploughshares, Southwest Review, and Shenandoah.

Her first novel, Rules For Saying Goodbye, was published by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux in 2007 and released as a Picador paperback this june.

She lives in Los Angeles.
